Psychotherapy

In psychotherapy the focus is on ourselves, how we feel and behave in our relationships with others and our relationship with ourselves. We explore the past and how we have been impacted back then in order to understand how our past repeatedly shows up in our present.

What brings us to psychotherapy has been around and has probably bothered or perplexed us for quite some time, often we can’t recall when we didn’t feel like this about ourselves or encounter similar challenges in relationships. We come to psychotherapy because we want to change us, change our patterns of thinking and behaviour which we experience as unhelpful. Unlike counselling where we want to change how we feel about an issue or feel better able to cope with what’s happened, in psychotherapy we look to change deep rooted and long established aspects of how we feel, think, and behave; understand our traits and discover how to change and actually do the work to enable change to happen.

Psychotherapy tends to be longer term work which heals deeper wounds while transforming how we live and help the scars to fade and supports us to flourish in the future.

I provide a safe confidential space and the time you need to heal and flourish. You will be heard by someone who really listens, supports you to feel whole, valued, coherent and connected. You will be supported to achieve the transformation you choose within a warm collaborative relationship.
